Rock House, Woodhaven
Rock House at Woodhaven pier, originally the granary for St Fort estate. The building was used as a hospital for the boys on the Mars training ship, then converted to housing in the 1930s. DuringĀ World War II it was taken over by the Air Ministry and used by the Norwegian officers of 333 squadron stationed here. The hillside beyond is now covered in houses, and the railway line across the field converted to the nature trail.
