Kirk Road, Newport-on-Tay: Photo of Storm Damage
Photo of the storm damage in Kirk Road, Newport taken about 1880. This photograph was found in a very old photograph album, and on the next page was a photograph of the fallen rail bridge. It’s highly likely therefore, that the storm damage seen here was caused by the same gale that blew down the Tay Rail Bridge on the night of 28th December 1879.
