Cupar Road Early 1900s
A busy day on Cupar Road early 1900s. Almost traffic jam conditions with three horse drawn carriages in view. On the left are the familiar shops of Robertson Place – Mathewson the greengrocer, Doig the chemist, Mackay the painter and Kirk and Coutts the ironmonger. On the right is the delivery wagon belonging to Robert Ferguson the baker who had the shop on the Cupar Road/High Street corner. This wagon travelled the streets of both Newport and Tayport as he had a shop in Tayport also.
