Wormit Picnic Party c. 1900
George Worrall
The photograph shows a picnic party heading out of Wormit. On the right is the road down to Wormit station, and on the left is the building now housing the Spar shop. For much of the 20th century this building housed two shops, offices, a hall and, until 1957, Wormit Post Office.
The photograph was taken by George Worrall of Beechwood, Wormit, (5 Northview Terrace), and was entered into the Dundee and East of Scotland Photographic Association Exhibition in 1902.
