Brownies Planting a Tree to Commemorate Coronation 1953
The Brownes planted a rowan tree in Coronation Gardens to celebrate the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953.
Unfortunately that tree eventually died, but in 2013, one of those original brownies together with some current brownies and guides, planted another rowan tree to commemorate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
