Boat Brae c. 1900
A fairly quiet view down Boat Brae around 1900. The building on the right, now a house, was for many years around the turn of the century home to Nicoll the baker. The young lady who is clearly happy to face the camera may well be one of the bakery assistants. Further down, the wheeled carriage is probably awaiting the arrival of a ferry.
