CAUSEWAYHEAD – WASHER WILLY’S CIRCULAR WALK

This walk of about 5.7 km is on a mixture of farm tracks, B roads and footpaths, which may be muddy. There is a very narrow gate where the walk emerges onto the road next to Chesterhill Lodge. The route is accessible for people with reduced mobility or wheelchair users if the section through the woods and field is omitted. It is possible to extend the walk to the Old Forgan Cemetery, again following a narrow footpath after crossing a style, or to follow the Scotscraig loop walk.

In early spring, there is a mass of snowdrops at the site of the ruined Causewayhead cottages, and bluebells in the woods in late spring.

it is advised that dogs are kept on leads.
