For over 100 years two families in particular dominated the joinery business in Newport and Woodhaven.

Six views of the rather grand-looking Kinbrae House lodge, which stood on West Road beside the entrance gates to Kinbrae House. The lodge traditionally housed the gardener at Kinbrae House and, like the house, was demolished around 1960 to make way for the new housing of Kinbrae estate.
