The Tayside Laundry on the Tayport road was in operation from 1906 until the 1950s.
Newscutting from the Tayport, Newport and Wormit Advertiser of September 1926. It is reporting that members of Newport Tennis Club had been invited by the Berry family to play at Tayfield. They had enjoyed an afternoon of tennis on the grass courts in front of Tayfield House, followed by afternoon tea.
