Wormit Drama Society 1949 Two photographs showing performance by Wormit Drama Society in 1949. The Green Room Club 1960s Three photographs from some of the Green Room Club's productions. The Green Room club rehearsed in their premises in the old Royal Buildings before performing many of their shows in the Rio. They would later join with the Blythe Players to become the Phoenix Drama Club. Drama Show Blyth Hall 1930s We don't really know much about this lovely photograph. We do know it's taken outside the Blyth Hall probably around 1930. 2nd from left in front row is Gertrude (Bunty) Irons. Irene Williamson is back row 2nd left. Middle row 1st left is Margaret McEwan, and possibly Barbara Baxter and a Powell somewhere. Which show is ... Wormit Drama Group Two photographs from a Wormit drama group, but whether the Wormit Drama Group itself, or the drama group of the tennis club, we're not too sure. They probably date from the 1950s. Any information on the group, the drama, the play or the time would be much appreciated! The Lady Purrs was presented on three nights in November 1958, and Torwatletie for three nights in February 1959. Newport Amateur Operatic Society 1927 Programme for the Newport Operatic Society's performance of Gilbert and Sullivan's Patience in 1927. The show ran for four nights in the Blyth Hall in March. Wormit Church Fellowship Drama Group 1948-1949 In 1949 Wormit Church Fellowship Drama Group presented The Passing of the Third Floor Back, a play based on a 1935 film of the same name.
