A year after the photographs were taken the station building was carefully dismantled and rebuilt at Bo'ness where it is part of the Scottish Railway Preservation Society's working steam museum. Wormit Station After Closure Three views of Wormit Station, sadly derelict after its closure in May 1969. There was a reprieve for the station building however in 1980 when it was dismantled then rebuilt, exactly as it had been, at Boness heritage railway. The houses of Taybridge Place now occupy the station site.
