Miss Rose, a Much-Loved Teacher at Newport School This newspaper cutting reports an award given to primary teacher Miss Rose for 25 years service in 1936. She was still teaching 15 years later. She is particularly remembered for her dancing classes. Throughout her career, she taught hundreds of local children to dance, very often competing successfully at festivals and competitions. Newport School Medals These are the Newport School medals of the Smith family who lived in Woodbine House at 11 King Street.
