Newport-on-Tay Round Table 956 was established in 1967 and included Scotscraig in their name in the hope of attracting membership from Tayport too. In 1972 the Newport Club celebrated its centenary with a well-attended dinner dance at the Brig o' Tay. Members enjoyed a splendid six-course menu before dancing commenced.

In the 1970s Round Table brought over a dozen under-priveleged children from Belfast for a week's holiday. They stayed in Comerton House at Forgan which had been a children's home. This photograph shows a party in the Newport Hotel for the children and members of Round Table.

At one time there were two Men's Probus groups meeting in Newport. The first group, the Probus Group of North Fife, was established in 1972, and the Probus Group of Newport-on-Tay was formed in 1992. This photograph shows the Newport-on-Tay Probus in 1992. They met in Newport Church hall, newly opened in 1992.
