This walk of about 8km/ 5mls is on a mixture of farm tracks and B roads, which may be muddy and are steep in places. There is a kissing gate where the walk enters the Scotscraig Estate on the Tayport Road, and a metal five-bar gate on the Washer Willy’s road. The route is accessible for people with reduced mobility or wheelchair users but would be very challenging. It is advised that dogs are kept on leads.
The northern stretch of the walk has an open aspect towards the Tay estuary, and leads on to the beautiful wooded landscape of the Scotscraig Estate, followed by views of rolling farmland towards the sea as it emerges onto the Inverdovat road . There are lovely wildflowers and bulbs all along the route in spring and early summer.
