A vision of Mrs Loutit’s hands comes to mind as very early morning in the cold of the shop she counted out the morning newspapers for the paper girl. She wore grey woollen fingersless mitts and her fingers were fat, bright red and swollen with the cold.
As far as we know there were also two daughters, Alice and Effie.
fact is wrong. There was no Miss Loutit that I know. However there were the LOUTITS. Mr and Mrs Loutit who owned the |Newsagents shop.
