Sculpture of Mrs Blyth Martin
A photograph of a head and shoulders sculpture of Mrs Blyth Martin by Italian sculptor Tadlioni, on show in the Blyth Hall. The bust was unveiled at the grand inauguration ball in October 1890 held in the Blyth Hall on the completion of the hall extension to the rear. The extension, like the hall itself, had been funded by Mrs Blyth Martin. There are two inscriptions:
Mrs Blyth Martin built and endowed this hall for the benefit of the inhabitants of Newport in memory of her brothers Henry, Thomas and Charles Blyth.
By her desire a dedication is also here made to the memory of her other two brothers David and John.
