Dr Macintosh attended to my brother & me at home in ‘Winning Brae’ during childhood illnesses such measles, chickenpox and my whooping cough. I had also been taken to his surgery for an injection of some kind [not against smallpox for which I’d been
immunised at an early age] making a great fuss.
